Rhythm & Brews – your local coffee caravan!

When you drive down the old Mangatawhiri Road in the Waikato you’ll be surrounded by green fields, soft rolling hills and animals a-plenty. Here, opposite the old ‘Castle’ you will find a wee pixie caravan and inside a smiling Heidi ready to take your hot coffee order. This is Rhythm & Brews – Green Valley’s local coffee fix and Heidi and Abbie’s new venture.

It all started 2 ½ years ago, when the sisters were keen on setting up a café, quickly though their thoughts turned to a mobile coffee cart. They knew they wanted a cart with a bit of spunk and a point of difference, so they set out to find a teeny caravan to convert into a coffee haven. Finally, after much searching, they came across a little 13ft 1970’s pixie. She was picked up and they set to stripping her back while uncovering quite a few hidden gems in the process! With a handful of awesome tradies on their side, plus a few extra babies in-between, they completed the task and have recently found their spot locally next to the Mangatawhiri General Store.

Quality coffee was the aim of the game and using local suppliers was at the top of their list. They have used Green Valley from day one; its always fresh (sometimes straight from the factory upon an order), fairly priced and local, so Heidi can swing by and be greeted by the friendly Green Valley team any time. Heidi says choosing Green Valley milk was a no-brainer, as she lives in the district and would much rather support local. Barista Silk milk was her choice as it is proven to make a great coffee, frothing beautifully every single time! Next time you are passing through – pop in for a cuppa and say hi!

Rhythm & Brews are parked roadside daily in the carpark of the Mangatawhiri General Store 7-11am (opposite the old ‘Castle’). They are also available for event hire, contact: Heidi 0274360854 or rhythmandbrewsisters@hotmail.com
